DESPISED ICON: New Album To Be Mixed By ANDY SNEAP
September 11, 2006Guitarist Eric Jarrin of the Montreal-based deathcore six-piece DESPISED ICON has posted the following message on the band's official web site:
"We are more than happy to announce that our next album will be mixed and mastered by none other than Andy Sneap! Being fans of all his studio works, we are entering studio next January to have him finalize the album early February.
"The HATEBREED tour [Monsters of Mayhem; also featuring THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, NAPALM DEATH, EXODUS and FIRST BLOOD] is awesome, all the bands are incredible and we're having a fucking great time! Please, continue to show up early when doors open 'cuz we play at 6:30 p.m. every night!"
The Monsters of Mayhem tour is DESPISED ICON's sixth tour in support of its highly acclaimed album, "The Healing Process", which is a relentless slab of sheer aggression matched with impeccable time changes that quickly raised the bar for their peers. They completed a very successful run this past spring on the Monsters of Chaos tour with MORBID ANGEL and labelmates BEHEMOTH and KRISIUN.
DESPISED ICON shot a video for the track "The Sunset Will Never Charm Us" with acclaimed director Jean-Philippe Bernier (A PERFECT MURDER) and you can check it out at this location (Windows Media).
